Lois Weinberger´s oeuvre revolves around the notion of a garden as a "perfectly provisional realm". Resembling artistically inclined researcher, he devotes his attention to a globally dominating civilization which has long subjected an erstwhile lively interaction between the unfettered forces of natural and cultural growth and socially justified concepts of useful order structures to normative supervision imbued with the spirit of moral values. The analytical research and artistic investigation of forms, both making up Lois Weinberger´s creative science, are geared towards unleashing natural and cultural processes in an unstructured, marginal, incidental, and anarchic pattern of growth. In pictures and texts, objects, and mural drawings, slides, video installtions, and site-specific interventions, Weinberger creates a univers both incidental and poetic. It presents itself as a meticulously explored and poetically codified space brimming with dynamically proliferating and fragile notions of anti-normative social and natural processes of life. His perfectly temporary space sees everyday activities performed in a "wrong place" (when applying conventional standards), an area of other(s) who appear for the sake of themselves while also serving as metaphors of different kind of mental order no longer considered conventional.
